Flying Lanterns
Flying Lanterns (also sometimes referred to as Sky Lanterns), are a fantastic alternative to fireworks.
Once you and your guests light the non drip fuel cell, they drift gently into the night sky, and can fly for many miles, before burning out and floating softly back to earth.
Each flying lantern comes with its own ready to light fuel cell. They work on the same principle as 'Hot Air Balloons' and once lit, they are ready to fly within about 45 – 60 seconds.
The flame will burn for 15 to 20 minutes, during which time they will keep rising. They cannot land until after the flame has burned out.
They are biodegradable, constructed of paper and bamboo and , as such, are not suitable for use in windy conditions, or wet weather.
In calm conditions you can watch your flying lanterns lift to over 1200 feet, before they become distant specks of light on the horizon.
They are a great addition to any wedding, and are sure to create a stunning effect in the sky for your friends and family to enjoy.
We currently offer two sizes of white Sky Lanterns, from stock, Small and Standard. The small ones measure 24" x 14" (approx), and the standard ones measure 35" x 18" (approx).
